On September 13, 2003 a Seminar on the Commission for Eritreans in Diaspora was held in Århus, Denmark. The Seminar was organized and conducted by the Eritrean Embassy in Denmark in collaboration with the Eritrean Community in Århus.

Participants appreciated the thoughtfulness of the Eritrean Government in deciding to establish a Commission to cater for their concerns and assist them in making a meaningful contribution towards the development of their country and the welfare of their people. They also commended the Eritrean Government on the establishment of the Martyrs' Fund for which they resolved to contribute DKK 100 a month for the coming three years.

This expression of solidarity was taken in line with the resolution passed earlier by Eritreans living in copenhagen, making the 'three years contribution of DKK 100 per month' a resolution universally upheld by Eritrean citizens living in Denmark.

The Embassy of the State of Eritrea in Copenhagen appreciates Eritreans living in Denmark for their support to the Martyr's Fund.
