“We are providing quality products to the domestic as well as the international market. Especially in Europe the demand for our product is increasing from time to time,” said Mr. Ateshim Teweldebrhan, General Manager of Techno-Brake Company.
Technology is the main factor that has to be introduced in a country to accelerate the development. Techno-Brake Company is producing brakes by introducing new technologies. “We introduced high-tech machines in 2006 and started production in 2007 using these machines,” he said.
Even though the company was established in 2005, it started to produce brakes in 2007. It took them over a year to adjust the needed infrastructure to produce compatible products. Since then it produced different truck brakes for Astra, Iveco, Erotrucker, Majrus, Daewoo, Mercedes, Daf, Fiat and so on. Moreover, the Company manufactures brakes for factories.
MBY Printing Press is one of the factories which become the beneficiary of the product of Techno-Brake Company. Explaining the quality and superiority of the Techno-Brake Company’s product, Mr. Eyob Amanu, General Manager of MBY, said that they had a lot of problems in the publication due to the lack of brake in their machine, and they spent a lot of time in search for the appropriate spare in the international market. “At the time we knew the existence of the factory in Eritrea, we asked them for the spare and they provided us in a short time,” he added.
Most of the time, the biggest expense of factories is on raw materials. The developed countries provide raw materials which contains certain minerals to factories in the developing countries. Regarding this, Mr. Ateshim said that they import 100% of the raw material. “This is the only option we have at the moment. We have a plan to prepare the raw materials ourselves as we have the basic sources in the country,” he explained.
Regarding the quality control, Mr. Ateshi said that their product is accepted in the international market as they conduct quality control to their products in the in the countries where they sell them.
Finally, Mr. Ateshim explained that they can manufacture brakes for any kind of vehicle.
