| Warsai-Yikalo Campaign for Radical Development Change The Cabinet of Ministers meeting continued its session yesterday May 9 to conclude its 2-day deliberations and agreed to name the campaign that is expected to bring radical change in all development aspects, as Warsai-Yikalo Campaign. After setting priorities regarding the Campaign and clarifying the duties and responsibilities of all government organizations, it decided to move to the implementation phase. Based on this, President Isaias Afwerki gave a 30-minute interview to local reporters in which he said that after 30-year long struggle for liberation and as we set out to rebuild our economy, we had war declared on us which hampered our development. It is therefore imperative that we revive our economy, he said and noted that all countries with wars behind them had to pass through such experience. The Warsai-Yikalo Campaign will use the country's human resource as a base, the President went on to explai, and added that plans are outlined to help us exploit our resources in a more productive manner. |
